Track freezes for long periods

I’m using the android app. Almost every time I use the app, my track will freeze for long periods of time. The boat still shows speed and sometimes the angle changes, but the track never moves. This has the added effect of changing the wind direction calculation for the other boats on the lake. Any help would be appreciated.

I have this problem as well probably at least 50% of the time. I usually do a backup with a handheld GPS so I can upload a GPX file instead, but if I do that I lose all of the heel data, etc. that I get from mounting the phone. I’ve tried changing the location of the phone on the boat but still can’t see any consistency as to when this happens or when it doesn’t.
