I recently went to J-Daze 2016 which officially started on April 30th and finished on May 1st.  When I tried adding starts for the second day, it seems to imply they started on the first day.  What is the proper method for setting start times for the races on the second day?  There is no date/time field for the start…

I managed to work around this issue.  I went to my personal log and set the race initially to “J Daze 2016″.  I then changed the regatta name to “J Daze 2016 Day 2″.  I then clicked on “edit” for each start time and saved it without any changes..  It seemed to correct the date, and all three races now appear on the correct day with all of the participating RaceQs boats represented.

    David,

The “proper” way is to request a regatta page here: http://raceqs.com/pro-regatta-broadcast/

And enter all the “events” separately. For example:

    2016-04-30 09:00 – 12:00

    2016-05-01 09:00 – 12:00

    You’ve entered 2016-04-30 09:00 – 2016-05-01 12:00 which means “one long (overnight) race”.

We obviously need to make our UI more intuitive.

Thanks for the help…  The way these regattas are run, there are typically 5 races the first day, and 2-3 races the second day.  The sailing instructions only mention the start of the first race for each day.  Each race is typically an hour, and the next races is started soon after the last boat crosses the finish line.  The actual time of each race is not know until it starts.  Here is the language from a typical Notice of Race:

So, is this still two events? Saturday 10-5, and Sunday 10-2.  Or something else?  A member of my club set this up and claims that she asked for 2 days, however only one shows up when you click the link.  Race Q’s Link
