Competitor Safety

Hi Folks,

I just discovered your site while investigating how to ensure entrants to our regattas have all returned safety from a race. We are a windsurfing group and recently had an issue where, even though we have a sign in sheet, we have lost a competitor for a while. The wind went from 8 knots to 40 and several competitors took shelter or sat on their board resting before coming home. Finding them visually proved very difficult. A single windsurfer lying in the water is VERY hard to see. With your tracking we would know EXACTLY where they are and all we have to do is get waterproof cases for our phones.

My question is a query about how best to use raceQs to monitor this – other than simply watching the screen…
